Original title is "'The staus quo is unsustainable': Congressional scrutiny of Kalshi, Polymarket explodes"
Alas, HN titles are limited to 80 characters
Anyone reading the article would notice this but someone only reading the HN title might think "scrutiny" means public scrutiny
Is "explodes" really the right verb if this headline has been up here for an hour and no one has anything to say? Am I really the first?
It's legal scrutiny, not public scrutiny.
That's the weird thing about predictive markets, it feels from another world. It's huge and nobody I know is aware of it.
